Eli has become a frequent visitor to Sea Shepherd's Bob Barker while it is visiting in Melbourne. She even got invited on the ship to hang out for the day. Here she is in the mess.

Eli Superstar wins all her events in first Agility trial!

Eli & I competed in our first Agility Trial at the NADAC Sanctioned Agility Trial in Keilor Victoria. I was very nervous and wasn't sure how she was going to handle the day and all the other dogs as she gets a bit anxious around dogs she doesn't know. But much to my surprise she performed like a seasoned show pony and actually won the Regular Agility Round, Tunnels Round, and Jumping Round, as well as earning a 10 point qualification in Tunnels for a perfect score! What a Superstar!

After a month and a bit away from Eli I discovered she was growing up very quickly. Her coat is getting longer and is so soft and silky. She's calmed down a bit, but still loves chasing the ball, going for walks and chasing birdies!

What's with the head wiggle?

Hey whats with the head wiggle thing? Is it because Cavaliers have such long ears and it covers their ear canal that they do the head tilt when you talk to them or make noises. Especially sounds that are high pitched!

Hello! Welcome to Eli the Cavalier blog! Actually I am using my dog as the subject to teach myself how to do a blog. But hey, might as well talk about something that is interesting and entertaining, and Eli certainly is! She is a 7 month old ruby & white Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She has just graduated K9 Kindy last week and I am now moving onto some basic tricks. She has mastered 'shake hands'. We are working on 'speak' and 'roll over' but it is taking a bit of extra time. I'll keep you up to date with her latest happenings. Be it bird chases, new tricks, new friends or even bad habits. I will also post information I find interesting about Cavalier King Charles Spaniels or any thing related to dogs. Perhaps even a video here or there to give you some real footage. Have fun reading my blogs and log in regularly to check up on the latest.
